WOOHOO!! Chalkboard Paint!!

I have had my eye on making chalkboard paint for a long time. I finally was able to make a trip to Home Depot and found NON-SANDED GROUT!! The problem that I had was you had to by a GINORMOUS box for $12 or a spray can for $4. So I opted for the spray can. I still have plenty left to do the other projects I had planned so I'm pumped. Here are pictures from my first project!!
Thank you Infarrantly Creative for this inspiration!
This is MINE!!!!

Now on to the next chalkboard project................CHALKBOARD VINYL!!!

Watermelon Fun!!

Watermelon Brain
So I saw this wonderful idea with watermelons for Halloween. Carve it into a BRAIN! Sounds like fun!! So I gave it a try and MAN I do not have that talent. If you have the gumption to try it, my suggestion is to use a peeler that doesn't have a think end on it. Mine did and it kept cutting into my "brain" and make it harder to peel the rind off.

Original Inspiration

I found this gem durning Shark Week!! I couldn't wait to try it out! In fact, I did it TWICE in one week. I enjoyed it more the second time around. I tried to put Sweedish Fish in blue Jello and used the big ones that are in a bag. Next time I will use the smaller ones in a box, so I can cut around them. Cutting through them didn't work out well for me.

For the last several weeks I have been totally ADDICTED to Pinterest. I love having all the inspiration at one singal push of a button!! AMAZING!!! But what good is all that power if I don't put it to use???? So the intention of this blog is to keep me going on my "pins" and to prove that YES! these things are possible!!!
